Henry ‘Bud’ Veer’s ancestors came from Holland leaving there near the end of the 16th century to find a new place to live that would give them a greater opportunity to get ahead on their own abilities.
Bud was born January 6, 1917 and is currently residing on campus of Indiana Masonic Home in Franklin Indiana. Bud has been and is still a loyal mason for more than 50 years. Bud’s occupation was a teacher and mechanical engineer and jack of most any trade when he was given a chance to try. He also served his country in the military and is a retired veteran. Bud was of the firm belief that education and hard work were the keys to a successful future and ability to work hard was a gift. He is the father of three children whom he is very proud of and loves very much. The journey contained in this book details his determination to succeed, and to be a loyal son, husband, and father.
