Preserve the Smiles

About the Book

        The rain is falling on this cold, rainy day.  It’s the kind of weather that stirs memories from years gone by.

        Today I was thinking of my precious mother, who left us when she was forty-three years old.  At the time, I was only a child, the age of eleven.

        Many years have passed since then, but still some of the memories are clear and warm.  Beginning today, August 16, 1999, I’ll endeavor to write them down - - - TO PRESERVE THE SMILES.
