More Than Words

Get Lost

For the most part, it is common knowledge that men don’t listen.

They’d rather control other people, watch football, and drive to the boonies to go fishin’.

Why is it that men never stop to ask for directions?  I hate it!

They’d rather drive along and get you lost and make life more complicated.

They will swear on their mother’s grave that they know where they are.

And after you ask them for the 5^th time whether you’re close to home, they always say, “oh, we’re not too far”.

Men are lost in every sense of the word.  They irritate you to the point of making you want to shout.

When they can help make like so much simpler by listening to the voice of someone who actually knows what they’re talking about.

But instead, they’d rather put their ego into 3^rd gear and drive until they get lost.

And if you have the misfortune of being in the car with them, then you too end up having to pay the cost.

Even if a man is in the car with a compass, they still would rather rely on their own “expertise.”

And you sit there for an extra hour or two lost in the country not bothering to say a word just to keep the peace.

Sure, people make mistakes.  They may take a wrong turn.  That’s understandable and fine.

But it’s not alright when it’s 11 o’clock at night and instead of being on your way home, you realize you just drove past the state line.                         

Hopefully, the man that you love will never be too much of a knucklehead to ask for help.

He’ll be considerate of others in the car with him and not think so much of himself.

Instead of driving for hours through each Georgia town.
