“This is an intriguing analysis showing how the opening scenes of Hamlet, Othello, and Macbeth provide clues to reading the plays in innovative ways.   Dr. Ali demonstrates how even budding scholars can develop literary research methods and skills in the course of serious graduate work.  Reading the manuscript has added new dimensions to my understanding of the

Shakespearean plays.”
