About the Book

Simply Single contains no fuss recipes for those cooks on their own, and who find themselves opening a tin of soup or boiling an egg yet again.  This book will tempt even the most reluctant lone cook to produce delicious meals with the very minimum of effort and a few easily obtainable ingredients. A Store Cupboard List and a section on tips to help preparation, together with a blank page for Notes at the end of each Chapter will make this an invaluable addition to every kitchen.  The recipes are incredibly easy to follow, as step by step instructions are numbered in order of procedure, and all ingredients are readily obtainable.

About the Author

Born in 1924 Pamela Le Bailly spent an idyllic childhood in Devonshire, riding her pony over the hills of Dartmoor and learning a lot of self-reliance.

After Wartime service in the W.R.N.S. including three years in South Africa, she married and followed her Naval husband round the world, producing three daughters and living in twenty-one homes. Now settled in her beloved West Country she spent some years perfecting her chosen career of Pressed Flower Artist, using her garden to grow the necessary flowers and foliage for her work.  However, for their Diamond Wedding Anniversary her husband gave her a computer.  With increasing Arthritis writing cookery books has taken over from pressing flowers, much encouraged by her daughters.

Following on from her first book “Second Time Around” on using up leftovers, and drawing on her experience of living alone while her husband was at sea, Pamela’s second book “Simply Single” is full of easy to follow recipes for one person.
