Underneath the moon’s silhouette
One man stands alone
Though surrounded
By a billion minds linked in thought waves
They fell in love before the sunset
And were married,

The animals scavenge for scraps
In a maze of mayhem trapped
Wishing I could go back
Before the young sold crack
Scared child with a strap

I take her by the hand

Where there’s voices with meaning

And she is the moon: still
Unchanged by the hold of time

Soul entwined with glowing shine
So divine it flows sublime

From the night sky’s majestic crystal-ball
