About the Book

"Ivett's Story is told with brutal honesty in her own unique voice. Growing up in abject poverty in Jamaica and suffering terrible mental and phycisal abuses, I endured by the hands of the one who should have cared for me.  My stepfather was a Monster. I found a deep well in the recesses of my nind and hid the trauma, never to be remembered again. Or so I thought.
I have overcome these nightmares because I am blessed with a vibrant, resilient spirit; a kind, gentle heart, and an unwavering love of God." I am now an author of my first book The Journey, an inspirational autobiography that will inspire and strengthen many people to overcome life's difficulf adversities. Ivett is an acclaimed author, a model, and an Inventor. She is now a successful individual... happy and full of love. " You dont have to be a little girl, a grown woman,a little boy or a grown man to read this book," exhaults Ivett, "This story applies to all."

About the Author

Ivett Jackson’s book; The Journey is a riveting mind-boggling emotional rollercoaster ride.  When Ivett was only a small child she blocked out the memories of the horrific and traumatized situations she endured from the hands of her family.  The person who should have cared for her: her stepfather was a Monster!  Ivett’s little mind was unable to comprehend all that had happen.  Instead she blocked out the memories, every single one of them and sent them away to a place where no one would find them.  Especially herself.  The little girl Ivett found a place in the recesses of her mind, a deep well where she deposited all the hidden, horrible and traumatic years of her life, never to be remembered again.  Or so she thought.  This is her story a child grappling to understand and somehow to deal with the memories and nightmares.

As an adult, Ivett has had ups and downs like most of us.  Yet, in her life, she was surrounded by people who should have loved her, but instead they revealed their true nature, which was only about them.

Ivett is finally able to take control of her memories and deal with them and remove the monsters from her life.

Ivett is now a successful individual, happy and full of love.  You don’t have to be a little girl, a woman or a little boy or a man.  Her story applies to all.  All of us have faced a monster.   It’s how we handle it that counts.  In my opinion, Ivett’s story can help anyone.
