remember as a child, at the age of three years old I went
to a private school, and entered kindergarten. My mother
walked me to school but after a while she stopped doing
so. I then had to go with my brother who always made me
late. He would stop at the bakery and talk and then move
on and stop and talk again etc. It got so bad that the Head
Master/Principal of the school had a talk with my mom;
so my mom started taking me to school again but, that
didn’t last long.
Again I went with my brother but he would rarely go to
school. He would jump on the back of a truck and go in the
opposite way from school. He left me alone. I was scared
but I said to myself, “I have a pretty good idea how to get
to school by now, so I walk alone. I was only three years
old at the time. I fi nally made it to school. I was so happy!
As the morning turned into lunchtime I realized that I did
not have a lunch to eat. My brother was told to give me
some of his lunch but he wasn’t in school. One of my little
friends saw that I had no lunch so she shared hers with
me. Th e lunch she shared with me was not even enough
for her. I’ll never forget her she was a good friend.
