I would like to invite you into my life as the protagonist of many of the stories and conversations you will find in The Truth About Living A Lie. I believe this sense of urgency to walk in truth started from the beginning of time. After God spoke the world into existence and began His amazing tour de force in the creation of man and the formation of woman the Scriptures say that God says, “It is good.” But when the serpent beguiled, (actually mesmerized) Eve into believing a lie it ultimately changed her perception. What happened in the garden where Adam and Eve formerly walked in absolute truth is the very place where mankind continues to struggle at today. Because of a lie “if you eat…surely, you will not die, but you shall be LIKE God…” (Paraphrase mine). Adam and Eve embarked upon one of the biggest mistakes known in the history of all of mankind. They believed a lie that disconnected them from God! We are still reaping the consequences of their choice to live a lie today. The truth of the matter is quite simple…we need God. We need God to help us get reconnected to Him and open the eyes of our understanding with His truth (He is truth) in order that we may walk in the purpose wherein each of us is called. This is where this book comes in because too many of us don’t realize that we need help (God). I offer you hope and assurance that God’s way wins HANDS DOWN each and every time! As a matter of fact, God’s foreknowledge had already paved the way for us to seek Him. It is inevitable that every one of us – at some time or another in life – is earnestly seeking truth. God is and has always been simply waiting for us to catch up to His plan of rescue for mankind.
Just imagine if you will, the backdrop of your favorite movie with the hero’s theme music surrounding the theater. You don’t even have to see the hero because the music is a sure sign that he’s on the way. Can you hear it? God is that hero and He’s on the way to rescue us because we need Him. And by the way, He’s bringing truth with Him because He is truth.

The author brings the reader into her life experiences, “I came to realize that His (God’s) intention (for the writing) was not just for the reader, but it was for me first. The truth of the matter was that I was also one who was able to put on my best performance (living a lie) of ‘everything is just fine here.’ During my soul-searching I found that I had some major issues that needed to be dealt with…”
The author mirrors her own life experiences to motivate each reader to ultimately embrace change. The second chapter probes an explanation of a lie and the definition of truth. Coming Into the Knowledge of Truth takes the reader through Scriptures moving forward to The Errors of the Church. The chapter on Mentorship is a refreshing level of truth concluding that growing pains are part of life's journey.
The stories are filled with the hope that one will embark upon a personal quest for God. It is here where each reader can come to terms with life and move forward. The Scripture references are not complex and move readers to a level of accountability to God. The Truth About Living A Lie encourages each reader to search for a deeper understanding of God.
About the Author
The last of four daughters, the author was born in Brooklyn, New York. As a writer and Minister of Music, it is faith and determination that keep her humble as she continues to reach her goals. She is the wife of her childhood sweetheart, mother of one daughter, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, friend, and spiritual confidante to many. The author completed her undergraduate studies in Psychology and Communications with honors. Along with this writing gift, she has taken on the position of Ghostwriter/Editor and created Divine Creations Writing Services to help and guide those who are interested in bringing stories to life. Her fees are minimal and in a short time her clients are many. She continues to take care of her family while inspiring others through writing and singing.
