The Heart of Route 66

About the Book

This book is a souvenir photo book, of Route 66, from Seligman to Topock, Arizona.  It is one of the longest, continuous stretches of Route 66.  There are 42 photos in the book showing some of my favorite places. 

While I was gathering photos along my favorite highway, I noticed, no one has done a photo book for just our area.  I have lived on or near Route 66 most of my life, so I decided to have a little fun and make a souvenir that I hope everyone will enjoy.

About the Author

My name is Herberta Schroeder.  Call me Herb.  It's easier to spell and remember.  My father loved camera's so I did too, I was a daddy's girl.  I have had lots of comera's through the years but I went digital a couple of years ago.  I never want to go back.  My camera sort of rules my world.  I try to never leave home without it.  You just never know what you will see.  I have won awards for my photos and the thrill of publishing in any media, just doesn't get old for me.  I still get butterflies in my stomach when I am showing my work, and I probably always will.  It is hard for me to consider myself a real photographer, because there are so many that are much more talented than I and I am grateful for the impact they had on my life.  I have been fortunate to meet many I greatly admire.
