About the Book

Bull Head Pond is situated off one of the main creek beds of Laurel Lake.  As the story is told, the pond had been ruled by a bossy bullfrog named Princess Jacqueline.  The good natured pond life referred to Princess Jacqueline as the “Bully Frog”…  And with good reason.  Her angry mean spirited personality made her unpopular and disliked.

Theresa a small green pond frog with a sunny and happy disposition took the same route to school every day, but she was picked on because she was disabled.  Theresa had to hop by Princess Jacqueline who bullied Theresa on a regular basis calling her Stupid Head, Green Slime and Four-eyes.

After some time, Theresa stood up to Bully Frog.   This allowed Theresa and her pond critter classmates to no longer play a game of leap frog in order to get to school.  Everyone met on a common lily pad where they proved that all problems can be worked through.  Princess Jacqueline and Theresa discovered some of life’s greatest lessons.  Now they teach others about the true meaning and understanding of friendship and learning to trust, love and accept others…as they are!

This enlightening tale lures the reader’s attention by addressing this ongoing and out of hand situation that happens everywhere and anywhere, namely ~ bullying!  They say one person can make a difference, but together we could stop the bullying!!

About the Author

Terri Voso-Henderson is one of the most captivating and sought out motivational speakers for children.  She touches the minds and hearts of everyone she meets.

Ms. Voso-Henderson discusses personal topics such as ~ Bullying, Youth Violence, Drug Abuse and Violence Intervention.  Terri Voso-Henderson captivates the attention of others with her original “Bully Frog” tale, as well as her life story, “Just Face It.”  Terri, a professional artist, displays her art, shares excerpts of her written poetry and encourages others by further stylizing her work through song.  It is a must see and hear!                     Terri was bullied as a child because of her disabilities and limitations.   She has had to face living with left-sided facial paralysis, since she was nineteen months old because of a medical mistake.  Ms. Voso-Henderson is permanently disabled, as a result of that procedure, leaving her deaf in her left ear and legally blind in her left eye.  However, the most obvious is her pronounced paralysis, due to the 7th nerve damage that allows her only to speak to one side of her mouth, making it impossible for her to smile, as others do.

Growing up would prove to be difficult, as children and adults would mimic and make fun of her calling her such names as,  Popeye, Jabber Jaw, Crooked Face and Freak.  Terri’s spirit was broken for a long time, until she took a good long hard look in the mirror and realized that she had to accept herself for who she is!  Today, she has the courage to share her personal life story, by discussing these delicate and serious topics.  Her work with children is a testament to the positive changes that she has created.
