The heroins are a family of great egrets, large birds by any standard, sharing the wet lands with snakes, alligators, turtles and people. The coming and going of the seasons of the year bring on strife and interaction for food, space and dominance. A spirit of adventure takes over the lives of two young egrets and off they go. Inexperienced, brave beyond caution, and much to full of self esteeme, our birds get into situations in which only humans can save them. A respect for family and a desire to listen and learn gets them second chances at survival.

About the Book
First, enjoy the photography and illustrations. Then, relax and follow the family of egrets as they learn the lessons of living and surviving in a hostile world. Teaching, our young ladies and gentlemen, we call "our babies,' to protect ones self is, hopefully, part of the lessons to be learned reading this book. It is about survival. First individually, and lastly as a species sharing a very small planet. If an appreciation of the world and its natural wildlife is a by-product, along with an audience that may benefit by attaining some reading skills, the book will have outdone itself.
