About the Book

This story is written by a single mom that has adopted three daughters from ChinaIt is written by mom and Emily, the oldest daughter. The children inherit a Grandmother in their new extended family that loves them dearly.

 

"I'll Miss My Grandma, Wouldn't You" is a story based upon the relationship that is developed between Grandma & the child as they spend time together creating fond memories.

 

But Grandma becomes ill. She is Hospitalized & doesn't return home. So, the child finds herself saying good bye to the Grandma she loved so much. It relates how a child, or any other individual, can enjoy & remember those fond memories of their Grandmother and/or mother that grew over time.

 

It is colorful & written in rhyme with great illustrations. A delightful little book. It will bring you to tears. This is a book to help children deal with their grief of a loved one.


About the Author

Rose Schaumberg is a single mom of three adopted Chinese daughters. “I'll Miss My Grandma, Wouldn't You"? is Rose’s and Emily’s very second children’s book written together. Emily is the oldest daughter. She is now in the 5th  at Grand Ridge Elementary School in Streator, Illinois.

 

Rose holds a Masters degree in Nursing, from Northern Illinois University, as an Orthopedic Clinical Nurse Specialist and a Masters degree in Public Health, from the University of Illinois at Chicago, as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She is currently working for the Veterans Administration, in LaSalle Illinois, providing primary care for Veteran’s. Though her background is medical in nature, she has always had a desire to write poetry for children and compose music arrangements for piano. “I'll Miss My Grandma, Wouldn't You"  is their second book in a planned series of children’s books that focus on adopted families and their bond with new extended Family members.
