mary speranza began writing several years ago when she took a correspondence course in WRITING FOR CHILDREN AND TEENS from the INSTITUTE OF CHILDRENS’ LITERATURE, in Redding Ridge, Conn.
mary wrote a short story called THE KLUTZ, which she sold to a magazine in Chicago.
mary has taken a CREATIVE WRITING course from Marie-Iglesias-Cardinale at Genesee Community College in Batavia, New York and from there has proceeded to write her first novel called ‘POOKIE’
Although the title sounds like another children’s’ story, it is definitely a murder story. However, there are some funny scenes in the book as well.
mary believes that even though bad things happen in Life, one can always find something to laugh about.
mary is currently working on her fifth murder novel.
