About the Book

A curse, written on a Golden Scroll, in ancient crypt, two thousand years old, found in the Tomb of a Devil worshiper. Foretold of death to anyone who touched the Light, the Light being an enormous Diamond found in a worked out mine, against all the odds. Lusted after, by members of an exclusive club, The Cartel. Their eastern member, a Mr. Akbar claimed to be a direct descendant, of the great Imhotep, High Priest of the Sun God AmunRa. The Diamond was stolen by the British Secret Service in 1938, from a vault in Kimberly, South Africa, and then locked away in an MOD warehouse, with a fifty year sanction imposed on it. The man who stole it, a Major John Ingram, was born in South Africa, of British parentage. Soon after the war, while living in South Africa, he realized they had been duped, by the German who helped them steal the Diamond. Manfred Richter, a Captain in the Si African Army, was found guilty of the murder of a Russian Diplomat, and was executed by Firing Squad. Only to turn up at a later date, as Lothar Van Roche, head of Security for De Beers Mining Company, he had conned them all. Five years later, the now Colonel Ingram, followed him to Germany, where he ended up helping him, and his Russian ally to sell the Diamond, to Mr. Akbar, for L50,000,000. Only after a fighting retreat, from Aswan in Egypt, do they get away with the biggest heist, of all time. It would be over a Century later, before the Diamond, would see the light of day again, “but het that's another story". 2060, the Sequel to the Stone By John Wilkinson
