The Beeples are people
who live at the POST,
But a very strange people
the Beeples!
Their toes are bows,
five in two rows
of red and blue
and green and yellow,
but the tiny toe bow
is a purple fellow.
And when from their toe
they pull off a bow,
They make a loud "Beep!"
not high -- not deep,
That starts out soft and
comes on strong
and soon becomes
a Beeple song.

About the Book
The Beeple People are a strange looking people who live at the Post Office and wrap packages for the public. They are very strange looking with scotch tape noses and colorful bows on their toes.
They wrap beautiful packages, but have a great deal of trouble when it comes to stacking them neatly. One day, while waiting for the mail truck to pick up the packages, they manage to get into a great deal of trouble.
About the Author
Ethel A. Hilmer grew up in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, and married her high school sweetheart in 1948. She and her husband recently celebrated their 60th year together. They have four children, nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Ethel was an elementary school teacher. After retiring from teaching in the US, Ethel and her husband taught in American schools overseas for ten years. Nigeria, Indonesia, Pakistan, Brazil, Venezuela, and London added new dimensions to their lives. To keep in touch with loved ones far away, Ethel wrote stories for her grandchildren.
