About the Book
"This is the greatest
book ever written!”
The Charlatans’ Newsletter.
Are you fed up with your job? Are you looking for a new and exciting career? Do you want to Get-Rich-Quick? Consider charlatanry! The marketing of nonsense remains a major growth
industry. This book will enable you to tap into the great reservoir of gullibility amongst the general public. The reader will be lead, step by step, into the wonderland of charlatanry. There, he will become rich and famous. Cash in! ________________________
This book is a work of satire, written to expose and ridicule charlatans and their ubiquitous scamming. The best way to attack charlatanry is, we think, with rapier wit. Lacking that skill, however, we happily took up the sledgehammer.
About the Author
Gregory G. Doyle is a retired research geneticist, formerly employed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, in 1960. Besides writing this crazy book, and a coming sequel (The Compleat Charlatan), he enjoys increasing the size of his already enormous rubber band ball, and experimentation with new and exciting card games (another book forthcoming!). He is happily married to his wife of 44 years, has two sons, and enjoys yelling at political charlatans on television.
Geoffrey Doyle, son of the above author, enjoys Fyodor Dostoyevsky, Enlightenment philosophy, and Deep Purple.
