Sometimes I think everyone is his or her own live TV Show. They just don’t realize it because there is no audience or laugh track. There seems to be plenty of advertisements though.
Everyday we live on a script, which some people say “Fate” has written for us. All we have to do is just go along with what happens. Most of the time things that do happen are not planned. Not in my life anyway. Even when I plan things about 80 or 90% of what I planned really happens and that is a high estimate. Usually the percentage is much much lower than that. Basically we are great at improvisations and winging it thru life. I guess what I am trying to say is that we all know the script is constantly changing. The daily script usually plays out and we go to bed hoping that the curtain of death does not end or cancel our show.
We have it all too. Drama, comedy, romance, or whatever scripts you can imagine. Sometimes we are our own documentaries. That is what I call reflection.
Advertisements happen when we need things like food, clothing, and shelter. That is when our mind goes thru a list of things we want, need or just crave like chocolate.
I like to think the people we meet are like our guest stars or supporting cast members. Yes! We have our villains too, even though we don’t want them.
Now! If this isn’t a sign that I have been watching too much TV then I don’t know what is?
If I can just figure out how to change the channel when something goes wrong, my life will be a hit.

This book was written for people on the go and also for people who like to read but only short book and not novels. It is just some thoughts taken from a blog on the Internet titled ‘Simply Chumly,’ also authored by this writer, which can be ‘googled’ and reviewed also on the Internet.
Filled with humor and personal trials and life observations, ‘A Simply Chumly Gift for You.’ Is just what it means, it is a gift. Hopefully the reader will be able to see him or herself in these situations and random thoughts and identify with the author, or not. There is a ‘Comment,’ area after each little story or thought, so the reader can have fun and reflect on what was just read. Therefore the book is written for fun in hopes that the reader will have some moments of enjoyment in this hectic time we call life.
About the Author
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Chumly was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, Home of the TV show the Office, as Edward Felix Robert Manka. He was brought home to five older sisters and lived on a block filled with most of his relatives, uncles, aunts, cousins etc. He was brought up as a Catholic and never had a problem with the Priests but sometimes the nuns when he got into trouble. Chumly graduated from St. John the Baptist Grade School, went to West Scranton Senior High School and finally Maywood College, now University, and graduated with a BS in Clinical Psychology. It only took him 25 years to graduate College because he spent 4 years in the United States Coast Guard, and 30 years working his way thru college while raising a daughter and making Television Picture Tubes so people like David Letterman and Jay Leno could have a career. After graduation from Marywood College, Chumly, worked in the Mental Health Field, was a drug and alcohol counselor in a prison and presently is now retired due to a motorcycle accident and other wonderful life things. A sometimes poet, Chumly has written and had some of his poems published and this is his first attempt at writing a book for people on the go.
