When I was young, if I heard the phrase "hindsight is 20/20," I never gave it a second thought. But, as I got older, I thought it probably meant, "If I only knew then, what I know now." But now that I'm in my 60's and retired, that phrase has taken on a whole new meaning. It seems there is so much I didn't know back then, but rather than wanting to change what has taken place in the past or do it over again, I instead have a growing appreciation for all that's gone before in my life.

About the Book
Hindsight is the life story of Kay Tabbert from her birth in September 1939 to the present. The book was originally meant to be a keepsake for her grandchildren. However, after reading her story, they suggested publishing it and sharing her memories of the 1940's and 1950's, including how her family was affected by the polio epidemic of 1947.
About the Author
"Hindsight" is Kay Tabbert's first book. It's a vivid personal recollection of growing up in a small, rural southeastern Michigan town in the 1940's and 1950's, filled with many of the types of warm memories that so beautifully fill in the pages of our lives, and taking place in a simpler time so very different from the frenzied America of the early 21st century. She lives in Adrian, Michigan, near the same region in which she grew up and in which much of her story takes place.
