In My Dreams
Last night I saw you in my dreams.
Funny how real it seemed.
And when I see you in the light of day.
I listen to every word you say.
I try to hide emotions so deep.
That so many a one try to seek
from me.
Do you know who you are?
You're a shining star
that touches my soul.
So warm and sensitive and yet so bold.
In my dreams.
I look at you and I wonder why.
So much beauty has to die.
Each night
as I lay.
Waiting patiently for the next day.
Just to say
hello.
Wondering where do I go
from here.
With a tear
in my heart
Trying desperately to part
myself from you.
Because daylight has caught you without a clue
of what is real.
How do you feel?
I wonder and yet in my dreams I know.
Because of the love that we both show.
Drip by drip of sweat that match
Bound by love we are attached
to the true me and the true you.
Eyes match eyes
only to realize.
The need that steals our breathe away.
And in my dreams I do say
I need you,
I want you,
I
My heart beats before I die
and become one with the only one for me.
Oh, how I wish you could see
You in my dreams.

About the Author
Michelle Y. Lewis / Ryan was born in Houston Texas. She is a graduate of Texas Southern University, a member of the National Association of Professional Women, an Honorable Discharged ex-Marine, an ex-runway model and a Christain Poet. Early in life her parents, Joan and Lucien Lewis II, discovered their daughter was blessed with the God giving talent of writing poetry, drawing and painting. She began performing at a number of local poetry bars under the stage name of EboniSkye. She is currently working on giving back to God, that which He so graciously gave her. She is writing inspirational poetry books, making spoken word w/ Jazz cds, painting and starting a greeting card line by EboniSkye. Mrs. Ryan's goal is to teach the world about Jesus Christ by using her own life as an example and showing how to obtain salvation through faith and the blood of Jesus Christ. Spoken Words of EboniSkye is the first book Mrs. Ryan has published and she expresses her excitement in sharing many more in the near future. Look for next book in 2011: Contemned
