About the Book

My novels are strictly English folklore set in thirteenth century England, about the time of Richard, 'The Lion-hearted'.  The Pragamore Chronicles tells you of the life of a young half -elfin raised in the world of men, and then introduced to a world very few men would come to know.

This life-changing event comes about after learning his grandfather, who died before he was born, was actually a great and powerful wizard.  Encouraged by his grandmother, and a White Wizard named Krypendorf, Richard Alvis embarks on a journey that will change his life, and the lives of countless others forever.  He will learn that dragons are not the evil beasts the world of men would have you believe, faeries come in many sizes and demeanors, and the power of life and death is often wielded by those who least deserve it...

About the Author

I was born on April 22nd, in the year 1945 in Memphis, Tennessee.  Shortly after that event, our little family moved to the nearby countryside on Willow Creek.  My father, who was a good part Native American (Pawnee), had a great deal of influence in my life.  His quiet ways and love of the outdoors has marked my life forever.  I've spent a good part of my life in the woods and waters of Mississippi, Tennessee, Arkansas, and Alabama.  While there, I've seen a number of things that would be hard, at least for me, to explain.  Because of this, I have always held a deep inerest in the world of the mystical unknown.  Some would call this fantasy, but a great many others would not...

As for me, I've never seen a dragon, nor have I had the pleasure of swapping stories with the fae people.  I have, however read about and talked to a few who have.  One, being my father, who is about the most honest man I have ever known.  In saying that, I would only submit to you that this world of ours is held together by both positive and negative forces alike.  I know there is no good here without the uncanny presence of Evil looming in the shadows.  Of all those people who have claimed to have seen these beings, some have called them angels, while others have used the terms faeries or spirits.  Of those fery few that I have seen, I will say little of.  To do this, I would first want to understand...I simply don't.  I will, however, keep an open mind and an unyielding curiosity on the subject...
