About the Book

About the Author

I was born and raised in Trelawny, Jamaica. I am the fifth child of nine siblings. Though my up-bringing was very strict and rigid most of the times, in the midst of it all I grew to understood my fathers tough love but could not relate to my mother. It took many years of pain and resentment to forgive my mother so I sought comfort in understanding her short- falls and frustrations in raising nine children as my father was always out either working or having a good time with his friends.

In my late teens I moved to Canada with my first love where my first daughter was born. Things didn’t work out between us so I went back to Jamaica at the age of 22 years old as a single mother. It was a tough and trying time for me in many ways than one but I kept my focus on God’s goodness and mercies. Psalms 121 was my refuge and comfort.

By the time I was 28 years old I moved to London leaving my daughter behind. It was the hardest time for me, it took me one whole year before I was able to have my daughter join me in London. Again psalms 121 was my comfort, it has kept me through yet some tough and trying times. Like most people I struggled and faced a lot of uncertainty but through it all my focus was on Jesus Christ and how he has kept me through it all.

I went back to further my education and graduated with a BA (HONS) in Business Administration at the age of 35, my daughter was born the same month I graduated. This was a very difficult time for us because she was born pre-maturely. Through all the ups and down and the twist and turns that this situation dished out, again Psalm 121 was the prayer that kept me. I prayed this prayer every night before we leave the hospital and every morning I wake up.

I now reside in USA with my youngest child. I feel this book though in a poetic form reflects a lot about me the valleys I have been in and the different direction my life took and how I rose above it all.

Today I feel fulfilled, hopeful and positive about where I am heading. So as I continued to stay steadfast on Gods words I know he is continuing to be by my side. He is my rock and my guide a present help in time of troubles. Now as you read this book let God be the center of your life let him be your guide. “Come journey with me”.
