Only Once
An existence of one
Hearkens the heart
And beckons the mind,
Like nights of an endless dream.
Thoughts of one mind
Projecting out into time and space
A mournful song,
Some things are not as they seem.
But time stops for no man,
One by one
Days slip into nights
Never to be seen again.
Since I walk but one time
Upon this earth
Then my shadow is seen no more,
Walk with me in the warm summer rain.

About the Book
The book is a collection of poetry that spans approximately (22) years. All works are based on experiences in my lifetime and connect to form a journey" if you will, by the author. Every poem tells a story, perhaps you can relate to some, if not all of them! Most are very romantic, some are insightful and haunting, but they all are true to my feelings, true to my heart and soul. I hope you will enjoy them as much as I enjoyed writing them. Let the journey begin......
About the Author
I was born and raised in Michigan. Had a normal childhood. Ready to follow my dream and be a cowboy, knight in shining armor, Zorro !!! Enjoyed English through my school years and at one time entertained the notion of becoming an English teacher. But life made some choices for me . Started writing about twenty some years ago. I have had no literary training per se, and write out of my heart and soul.
