  85 years after Hedwig left the Elephant Hotel the Elephant building is now on National Historical Registry in Atlantic City, N. J. -

Marie Kobres Bone was  born in Richmond, VA. March 24, 1919, is a Senior-Citizen freelance writer from Dallas, Georgia – a Suburb of Atlanta.  Her Parochial schooling has been in Tennessee and Georgia. Aside from writing, reading and music, her hobbies are Little-Theater; Civil-War Relic Hunting; Arts & Crafts, Antique Collecting and Travel—she has traveled extensively both Abroad—and in the United States.In addition to this latest true Story ;The Elephant Hotel, Hedwig & the Tagebuch, she is the author of ; Richard & Hedwig, Knit One-Purl Two, many Trees, Oracle of Hermes, and a number of Magazine & Newspaper articles. Marie is the 6^th. Child of her parents Hedwig & Richard’s 11 children—7 boys and 4 girls.
