About the Book

The Employ of Angels is the second book written by the author on angels.  The first book, Angels are Celestial Spirits, introduced these messengers who are employed in carrying messages and giving advice and encouragement.

In this second book the author continues this powerful discourse on angels and describes the employment of angels as they guard, remonstrates, announces, and ministers.  The reader will now be able to observe them being fit for employment. They are skillful, strong, and swift obedient servants to Christ, holy enemies to the  wicked, and faithful friends to all the saints.

Dr. Billy Graham so forcefully stated in his book on angels: “Angels guide, comfort and provide for the people of God in the midst of suffering and persecution.” He further states, “They are ministering servants who can appear or remain invisible as they perform the tasks that God assigns them.

In the end, when Christ comes in his glory to judge the world, he will bring all of his holy angels with him.  The angels will not only be attendants, but ministers of his justice; they shall come with him both for state and service. They shall be employed in executing Christ’s righteous sentence, both of approbation and condemnation,  as ministers of his justice.

About the Author

Eva M. Brown grew up in Labadieville, Louisiana, a small town southwest of New Orleans, Louisiana.  As a small girl, she tagged along everywhere with her grandmother, Rebecca Joseph. It was a special joy to hear her openly pray or to bellow out old negro spirituals and hymns. Her mother, Cecil Margaret Banks, and her aunts, Edna Joseph and Lucille Stirgus, introduced her to years of school in Christian education. . Going to church, Sunday school or Vacation Bible school was a part of her life.  Her work in the church began at St. Mark Baptist Church after her baptism on July, 5, 1965.   There are so many that were a key in her religious life. Because of this book an honorable mention is provided: Rev. Sherman Washington, Sr., Rev. Gerald C. Brown, a former Spouse; Barbara Stevenson, Rose Cooks, and Betty Jean Stevenson were there to see that she and her cousins Inez Butler and Judith Joseph kneeled every night to give thanks to God, as well as learn “The Lord’s Prayer“; Her Stepfather - Harry Banks, Sr.; Her God-Father - Ernest Fletcher, Sr.; Rev. Charles Winslow, Sr.; Rev. Samuel Terry; Rev. Melvin Meads; Rev. Lloyd Jones, Sr.

Her friend Jackie McElveen-Duncan of New Orleans wrote of her, “She is a sister, mother, speaker and a Child of God. When I think about Eva, I see helper, team-player. There is nothing too big or too small for her. She is a visionary, and the bible states, “a man without a vision he would perish.”

Eva and her husband Emory A. Beene currently attend Bethel Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor and Mrs. Charles Beal in San Angelo, Texas.
