Then Gilbert complained to Mr Toad, “The fairies have all the woods and I just have the garden and I love it. It should be the fairies that go, not me.”
Mr Toad sympathised with Gilbert. Then Gilbert told his friend, “If it weren’t for those fairies coming into the garden, the fairy king wouldn’t need me to look after them and I could have the peace and quiet that I deserve.”
“But,” Mr Toad said, looking very sad, “The fairy king has always sent his youngest fairies into the garden, since the fairy queen died.” Then he remembered and said, “Oh, except that naughty fairy Beth, you remember Gilbert? The one that ate the chocolate and made such a mess that she was never allowed back in the garden and still isn’t to this day.”
Gilbert went quiet, and then suddenly jumped up and said, “Yes. Got it, got it.” He was so excited that he made Mr Toad jump with fright, back into the fishpond.
Mr Toad thought he’d cried, “Got me, got me.” Terrifying thoughts flashed through his mind: he imagined that something really big and hairy and ugly had got Gilbert from behind.
When Gilbert saw the terrified look on Mr Toad’s face, he thought a big, green and slimy pond monster was about to attack Mr Toad. He said, “What is it, what is it?”

About the Author
DonnAnna is 48 year old women, with a wonderful husband, who has given her 4 beautiful children: and has 5 nearly 6 fantastic Grandchildren.
She loves her family so much, that she has dedicated her book to them.
Her inspiration came from a fairy her daughter Lisa had given her as a gift. Never in her wildest dreams, did she ever think she could write such magical stories.
All of her main character, Cherry, Lisa, Lesleyann and Lynnet (Netty), are her daughters. Sarah is just a character that we all have a touch of.
DonnAnna hopes that her stories give children inspiration to learn, especially if they have learning difficulties, as she has.
She hopes the book gives children as much enjoyment, as she had writing them.
