Coming up the path was this lady! it was mum!! we were so happy to see her, we had not seen her for so long, she had this funny little pram with my baby brother in it, and alongside was my little sister, on the other side was my big sister, mum wasnt allowed to come into the yard so we were not even allowed to have a kiss or a cuddle , mum smiled her lovely smile at us all and said "you all look like monkeys in the zoo! "
I came across this quote (anon) in a book and thought it sums up mothers everywhere, "Being a mother means your heart is no longer yours, it wonders wherever your children do."

About the Book
This story is a promise I made to my mum and to myself when she died,she was an ordinary lady with an extraordinary courage, and passed all the values she held dear to her thirteen children at some cost to herself. This then is her legacy, her mark on the world, she may be gone but she lives within all of us. I never had the chance to tell her how much she was loved and how proud I was of her, so although this has been many years in the writing I have indeed fulfilled this promise.
About the Author
Myself ... nothing extroardinary! a proud and loving mum of four, and eight delightful grandchildren. I hope that having inherited my mothers principals, and values, my children and their children will find them useful too. I also hope my story will allow my children and grand children to know my mum too.
