My name is Rosie L. Gibson Hewing. I now live in Kansas City, Missouri. I was born and rasied in a small town called Winchester, Arkansas. The population was 233 people. I lived in the coutry on the outside of Winchester. I was raised by my parents Mr. Eli and Mrs. Geneva Gibson. There lived my 2 brothers and my 2 sisters. Their names are Eli, Willie Mae, Freddie, and Dorothy Gibson. We were one big happy family. Being the youngest had it’s advange. It was a struggle to raise five children, but some how my parents manage to do it.
My daddy work for a man name Charles Holloway. My mommy work sometime. Doing this time as the children got older we would chop cotton in the summer. My parents couldn’t afford to buy us new clothes, so we wore alots of second hand clothes. My parents would go to what we called, dump areas. This was a place were the wealthy people would take their old clothes and throw them away. We were so happy just to get clothes we didn’t care where they came from. We would as well go to Pine Bluff, Arkansas to a place called the Good Will Stores. Coming up with nothing makes you appericate what God is doing right now in my life.
I didn’t realize that in the mist of all of this my parents was fighting a witchcraft DEMON. They never said anything around us. I recalled one night before we moved out of the house I was born in. This man would torment us at night, by coming up there dragging chains across our porch in the middle of the night. At this time my parents didn’t know it was this man. This and other things had happen until we moved. I remembered so much that this DEMON put us through.
Like the time when my dad and mom pretend that my mom was losing her mind. They scared my sister and I so bad, we thought that something really bad had happen to her. There was this one time when this Demon pretended that he want to be save. He would sit in the kitchen with my dad. This Demon did so much to my family, all because he want my mother. After he seen that he wasn’t getting any where by hisself, he then taught his wife family how to give their lives to the Devil. Then with all this help, He than tried to kill my dad and this woman demon tried to kill my mom. One night I wake up and seen him in our house. He was so good he made me think that I was dreaming. Daddy later on told me that I wasn’t dreaming. This man was so good that at night he would come to our home and we would get up and let him in. He than mark up our house and put witchcraft in our deep freezer. This almost killed my daddy.
I am so glad that God is a merciful God. It almost drove my mom crazy. He would draw picture all over our house. He even drew on our beds. Like the time he drew me with my legs broke. After my parents found out what was going on and what he was doing, him and his wife’s family. My parents was planning on killing him. I am so glad that they didn’t. Back then I didn’t feel this way. Now that I am save, I see things God’s way.
This man was so evil that when he couldn’t get to my parents like he want to. He than tried to put witchcraft on my sister and me. One day when we were at church he tried to put his hands under my clothes. When I refused to let him. He got mad with me. He didn’t like me anyway. Come to find out he was just trying to use me to get back at my parents. He told me that he hope one day when I was older and start dating that my boyfriend would beat me.
One day when he came over to the house, he looked at my daddy and ask him what have I done to you. That’s when I realizes that my daddy was truly a man of God. Because, he did nothing. Out of all this I never realized what they were going through. I learned that the devil can be so cunning. I am so glad that God kept us through all of this. God never let the Devil take my parents life. But my parents life was never the same.
They kind of drew apart. They started arguing over nothing. People don’t care how they mess up your life. Even the relationship between my sisters and I changed. We couldn’t get along anymore. Especially, my older sister and I. It was like everything I did and didn’t do she told me.
