This book gives you an exposure of our rich culture and symbolisms.  You will do the ceremonies with understanding and enjoy your wedding day more.

This book makes the understanding of Hindu Weddings easy and logical.

About the Author

I am of Indian origin, born in Nairobi, Kenya, the daughter of Sri Ram Dass Sunak and Shrimati Suhag Rani Sunak.  It is from my parents, to whom this book is dedicated, that I learnt and began to love the cultural and religious aspects of Hinduism.  My dad's and mum’s blessings have enabled me to achieve this milestone.

I am a Chartered Accountant by profession and work in a local university.  I am actively involved in the activities of the local community, the university, the Hindu temples and other charitable bodies.  In my spare time I try and increase awareness of Hinduism by holding exhibitions and giving talks at various schools and colleges on the cultural aspects of our religion.

I have always been amazed at the conflicting information, advice, superstitions and reliance on ubiquitous aunties to guide us, when we are in the process of performing the most important ceremony of our life - the wedding.

I hope some of the myths surrounding Hindu Wedding Ceremonies will be removed by referring to this book which has taken me over 3 years to complete.
