My grandma

 was someone else's grandma.

My grandma lived through pain,

it made her a little insane.

The loss of my father,

was her biggest bother.

But when she looked at my sister and me,

she knew that by our side forever she would be.

She stood by my mom's side,

and watched us grow to women with pride.

When she looked at me,

my dad she did see.

She never worried about me,

she knew I was my dad's child you see.

She said she worried about Steph because she was so stressed,

but I think the real reason is they are both worriers and that behavior is not the best.

Her cooking was the best,

though she never seemed to rest.

She gave herself to us,

now we need to try not to make a fuss.

This hole in my heart and this loss of breath,

are my symptoms of her death.

Even though I cannot breathe,

with this poem I do read.

In my head I smile,

because she is with my dad who she has longed to see for awhile.

I smile because she gave so much love while she was here,

to us she is forever dear.

Now I say not goodbye,

with no questions why!

I say I'll see you one day,

Now be with my dad and play!
