About the Book

When life's journey takes us through deep valleys of darkness, it is there where we learn to trust God for everything in our life and we realize His awesome presence.

After the murder of her son, in the darkest valley of despair, Jane found the true meaning of God's extraordinary love.  A woman of faith, Jane understands that God is in control of every situation.  "The more we understand Him the more He fills us with peace and joy."  Her true story and heartfelt poems are both a gift and a lesson.  It is her prayer that each reader will find God who, in reality, is always present to them if they but look through the eyes of faith.

About the Author

Jane Sullivan keeps her faith in God, trusting Him with all her heart.   She found a way to speak to God not only in prayer but through words written from her heart, poetic outpourings of praise and petitions.

Jane works in the medical field, ministering to those in need. She not only helps comfort others but she also receives solace through mutual sharing of hearts and lives.

In November of 2005, when her son was murdered, she went through the deepest valley where she could no longer walk.  She said, “God has taken me down many pathways but this time I told him, God, I can no longer walk.  You have to carry me.”

Through the deepest valley of her life, Jane found that God not only carried her but always shined His light guiding her path.  She and her family continue to pray for strength as they now travel through court appeals.  Jane, along with her family and friends, are currently designing and planting a flower garden at a nearby children’s Christian camp.  It is named “The Children’s Prayer Garden.”  It will be a beautiful flower garden in memory of Kelcey.  Jane says, “It not only reflects the beauty of Kelcey’s life but also reflects God’s everlasting love that He has for his children.  In the center of the garden is a statue of Jesus, cradling two small children in His arms.  It reminds me of the eternal peace and happiness my son now has as he lives in our Heavenly Home.”   Jane lives in Columbus, Indiana with her husband Terry.  They have three grown daughters, Staci, Leslie, and Brooke.
