About the Book

Cliff, nearly grown, plans to go to college and then decides that he must be an agent for the FBI.  He knew at a very early age that was his ultimate goal but was deterred by his mother who wanted him in the family oil business.  He likes the girls but there is one that is the little sister of his classmates that he can't keep his eyes off.  At first he knows she is too young to even think about him, but not to his knowledge, she has a deep crush on him.  She is the one he is to marry after his induction to the FBI.  His nemesis causes both his wife and son to be killed and after several years his luck changed and he managed to find a new woman in his life that could almost replace what he had lost.  The gangster is never far from Cliff's investigations.  How this new woman fits in is one of he interests in this book.

I was born and grew up in Texas where most of this book takes place.  I lived in Dallas for twenty five years where I married my husband of 43 years.  We moved here to Tennessee in 1995.  I have a daughter in Texas and two step daughters in Tennessee.  I also have two grandsons who are doctors of pharmacy and two granddaughters that are also doctors of pharmacy  I also have a two and a half year old great granddaughter that is the delight of my life.  When my husband and I retired in 1985 we planned to travel but his health became precarious and those plans were canceled, so, I travel and live my other life in books.  I read extensively and write almost everyday.  I also dabble in oil painting and quilt making.  When I am painting or quilting I get my ideas and then transcribe them to words.
