About the Book

Jennifer Allan may live in a world filled with mythical beasts, magic, and other untold wonders, but she’s still just a normal, average teenager trying to make her own way in the world.  She goes to school, does her chores, hangs out with friends, and even gets grounded by her parents.   But when a dark, mysterious figure appears out of nowhere and steals The Book of Hope, the very thing that maintains peace and security in Jennifer’s world, Jennifer feels compelled to leave her home, accompanied by her five closest friends, to try and save her world from destruction.  The group of friends is caught in a race against time as they struggle to overcome the dangers of their world in time to stop a cataclysmic war from engulfing their entire continent.

About the Author

Vincent Bair, a seventeen-year-old who has been writing short stories since he was a little kid, began the first draft of Jennifer Allan and The Book of Hope during the summer of 2004, when he was still only twelve years old.  He completed that first draft in just five months but then took an additional three years to re-write, lengthen, and proof-read the manuscript until it met his high standard of excellence. Vincent grew up in the small town of Ephrata in southern Pennsylvania and is preparing to graduate from Ephrata High School in 2010.  He is planning on continuing his education with a college major in Creative Writing.
