About the Book
About two incidences that occurred in two Izon villages respectively in the Bomadi Local Government area, Delta State, Nigeria; in the mid 19th century. The true names of the actual villages and the characters are unknown.
Like the legends of ancient Greece and King Pharaoh of Egypt, these stories may well have occurred.
If any parts of both stories are true, any additions and/or omissions are from my own imagination.
About the Author
I was born in Esanma, Bomadi Local Government, Delta State, Nigeria. I came to the United Kingdom in 1964 to further my academic standards. On arrival I was employed as a Laboratory assistant in an NHS Hospital and studied part-time to realise my aim of coming to the U.K.
I obtained a Ph.D Degree in Biochemistry at Birkbeck College, London University, U.K, in 1983 as a part time student. After a brief spell in Saudi Arabia, I returned to the UK and continued my profession in the NHS as a Clinical (Scientist) Biochemist in pathology.
In 2001, after studing at weekends, I obtained a Diploma in Health Care Service Management at the Greenwich School of Management. At present I am currently working as a Manager in a Primary Health Care (NHS) Trust.
My other interest is a desire to remind readers in all professions that there are always other sides in all human beings. If after reading this book has made you think about your own hidden talents, then this effort has achieved its aim.
