About the Book

“fear is the most  powerful of all emotions and therefore the most useful weapon.”

To be the most highly regarded leader and dictator of his time, Sergei was certain “fear” was the ultimate weapon. He had learned well from his predecessors what a useful tool fear was. From his soldiers to his household staff, Sergei need only to speak for terror to be seen on each face.

That was until Elena and her little daughter, Olga joined his staff.  No matter how cruel his treatment, Elena had no fear. Why? Because Elena knew the most powerful weapon was “love.”  Would Sergei understand? A sacrifice more than 2000 years ago had already been made. Would another sacrifice be needed for Sergei to truly understand?

What is more powerful…. Fear or love?

About the Author

After several years of writing plays and directing drama’s, Karen’s next venture began to materialize. A book! The idea for Sergei’s Sacrifice began with a true story of a communist leader.  She is a teacher of 5th grade girls and attends Community Baptist Temple, in Akron, OH.
