About the Book

This is the story of the nearly 30 year conflict of a beautiful bipolar woman and the man that loved her.  It is a story of how the wake of destruction, dishonesty, disloyalty, and vindictiveness that she left behind her had a devastating effect on the lives of her family, friends and lovers.  Born with talent, beauty, and brains, she could have accomplished great things in her life.  Instead she chose to use her God given attributes in a criminal and destructive manner.  Her beauty had a 'Medusa'  like effect on any man that dared lust after her, reducing them to mere shells of what they had once been.  With her almost supernatural power to avoid being prosecuted for her crimes and total disregard for the law, she strolled through life, unaffected by the devastation, disrupted lives and death she left in her path. There was only one way their story could end.

About the Author

I was born and raised near the city of Winchester, Virginia, by my loving, caring and supportive parents, Evelyn and Layton Stockdale, who were respected pillars of the community.  They imbedded in me the morals and importance of being a gentleman and to respect the rights and ideals of others.

I have a great story in MANA, although I lack literary skills to do it justice.  The story itself will more that make up for my inabilities.  I have enjoyed writing it and feel that it may help others that are affected by the bipolar curse.  If within these pages, one person or their loved ones are helped to deal with bipolar and it prevents them from going through the suffering created by Bipolar Mania, then I will have accomplished my goal and will be rewarded far greater than any material wealth. I wish to express a very special thanks to Marydel (Butch) and Bill, for their contribution to MANA.

I served in the U.S. Military during the Vietnam conflict from 1963 to 1966.  My education includes extensive research in History, Religion, Law and the Sciences, but life's experiences and ordeals have educated me far more than any formal education could have or did.
