About the Book

This book is written upon the premise that there is a sovereign and colossal God who created the universe and maintains an ever present relationship with all His glorious and spacious creation.

That premise provides an inexhaustible supply of challenging and gratifying issues to be explored. In this book of free verse poetry, readers will examine multi-faceted ways in which God touches individuals as they walk this path called life.

This poetry book explores issues dealing with spiritual power, nature, family, remarkable people, life after death, and other subjects; each intended to be a literary journey bringing pleasure to the heart and soul of the reader. The writer has a pleasant, positive way of expressing values and observations about life and God which invites readers to regularly revisit her poetry.

To quote Bradley Martin, editor of the Hickman County Times, who regularly publishes Wilma’s poetry, “The more of Wilma Hudgins’ poetry you read, the more you want to read. See for yourself.”

About the Author

Wilma Armstrong Hudgins is the product of a home where dedicated Christian parents taught her to aim high, work hard, honor her commitments and trust in her God.

When Wilma was a preschooler her father was a tenant farmer in Hickman County, Tennessee.  Her Mother was already declaring to her, “Your Daddy and I never graduated from high school but you child will graduate from college!  Wilma perceived the seriousness of her Mother’s intentions, but wondered what college was all about.  Later she had her answer as she received degrees from David Lipscomb and George Peabody Colleges in Nashville, Tennessee and Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, Michigan.

Wilma married Wayne Hudgins. He became a part time preacher and an elder in the church.  They have three children: James, Tim and Melanie.

Wilma is a former FBI employee, and a retired public school teacher.  She writes and teaches Sunday School Class materials. Her poetry is published in the Hickman County Times.

Wilma believes life to be a daily journey with God.  She deals with this conviction in her writing.
