It was a beautiful morning in the town of Cotton Spring. The birds were singing, and the sound of the river could be heard for miles. Mama and Papa Squirrel were at the kitchen table, eating breakfast and trying to plan out each day of their vacation. Kimme walked into the kitchen all excited and glowing. Kimme had been waiting for this week for months. “It’s spring break and I’m ready to relax and have some fun,” she said with a smile. “We have big plans for spring break too,” said Mama Squirrel. Kimme looked with anticipation. “What is it?” Kimme said. “Your dad and I have decided to go visit our cousins in Summerville for spring break.” Kimme’s face looked like she saw a ghost. Kimme remembered the last time she went to Summerville. She was stuck at the house, watching all her little cousins while the grown-ups went shopping all day. Kimme knew she had to get out of going to Summerville.

About the Book
"Kimme's Spring Break" is a story about a young girl desiring to have fun on her spring break only to experience hard work, aches, pain, and exhaustion working with her sisters for the week. Each day Kimme would spend time with one of the sisters and find herself working and not totally enjoying the week. In the end, however she discovers her hard work is greatly rewarded.
About the Author
I was born and raised in California. I attended Carlmont High School in Belmont, California. After high school, I attended Langston University in Langston ,Oklahoma. I graduated from Southern Nazarene University in Oklahoma with a Bachelors Degree in Organizational Leadership. I now live in Oklahoma City with my wife ( Maria ) and two daughters ( Alyssa and Aliyah). I worked in the telecommunication field for ten years before I decided to write fulltime. This is my first children's book.
