About the Book

Those are mostly true stories,  about the author's life. His adventures in the Jungles of the Amazon and other parts of the primitive world.. His  childhood spent in a small European country. Succesful escape with his younger brother and  his parents from the Nazis, during World War II. After a stretch in the Allied Army in Europe. He got an American visa and sucessfuly landed in the USA!

Here he formed the famous Amazon/African Explorers. It was a new idea !  No one ever thought to travel to the Amazon or Timbuctu at the time! He started to operate his business from the garage of his house, slowly builded his little Company, to become one of the largest Tour Operators, with many offices and employees around the world.  

All  major TV Stations  and  newspapers, had daily releases about the adventures of the Amazon/African Explorers Inc. Most of it was exciting news, unusual and a good reading! The press and Television loved it!  Imagine, news without killings?

Hundreds of American Tourists traveled with Mr. Brill on his famous "Green Hell Tour" to the Amazon!  Or,  to the mysterious city of Timbuctu,  in West Africa. His clients visited  the most primitive parts of the world , untouched by the tourists.  All in a perfect safety and even with some comfort! 


About the Author

Richard Brill, an internationally known explorer, listed in Marques WHO is WHO in Americas, was made famous by Mr. Richard Bissel, writer of Pajama Game. Mr. Bissel wrote a large article about the Amazon and Richard Brill in a prestigious Holiday Magazine.

 

As a result, of this publicity  an internationally  well  known TV personality , the famous Mr. Jack Parr and his family, traveled with Mr. Brill to the Amazon.  

 

Mr. Brill produced several award winning travelogues about the Amazon,  Ethiopia and  Timbuktu,. Major publications throughout the world called him, the “New Indiana Brill”

 

The stories about his explorations, the discovery of an ancient  city,  in the Amazon Region made him one of the world’s most famous explorers. 

 

Mr. Brill owned and operated a large tour company called Amazon/African Explorers. He created some of the most unusual adventure trips on the globe.

 

His best seller was "The Green Hell Tour" to the Amazon. Other Latin American tours included: The Green Paradise, Orinoco Adventure, The Jungle Railroad, Esquel, the Pearl of Patagonia.  Also the "Central America on Wheels"  

 

In Africa, the tours included Come to the Casbah in Morocco.  Then, Tunisia – The Land of Hannibal, South of Asmara in Ethiopia. In Kenya, The Tenting  Safaris. In  West Africa  the "Ouagadougou Express" as well as the very famous, most difficult tour to operate, the  "New York to Timbuctu"  

 

Since his retirement, he writes about his exciting life and explorations around the world. He now lives with his wife in  Arizona.
