CONTINUOUSLY
woke up from a deep sleep
sweat on my body feeling hot all over
my memory in rewind mode from what happened earlier
heart beating through my chest so fast
i kept getting visions of how my lady and i walked so peacefully along the beach
like we were in a world separate from everyone else
i remember feeling the cool sand on my feet
giving my toes that tingly feeling
while holding and kissing her smooth hand
it felt as though i had the world in my grasp
the wind blew continuously through her lovely brown hair gracefully
while i was thinking please do not let this be just a silly dream
i wanted to freeze the moment in time, so i could continue living it
pulled her small waist close to me slowly, so we were feeling that passionate vibe
as i looked into her hazel eyes that got me hypnotized like a clock that slowly swings by
felt her silky long legs against mine as we stood by the clear blue ocean
i was aroused by the sensual touch of her hands running through my soft dreads
as i began to lightly nibble on her ears
the sweet smell of her perfume on her body
like fresh red roses on a summer’s day
was giving me the notion to lean towards her lips
feelings of anticipation and nervousness running through my veins
like the way the sun touches your skin on a warm summer’s day
wondering if she was feeling the same way
as we both gazed into each other eyes one more time
all of a sudden like the speed of light
we began to kiss by the moonlight
close to the ocean
i could feel a light splash of water touch us
as the love between her and I were sealed with the movement of our lips
so many emotions were swimming through my body
felt like the fourth of July fireworks going through our bodies as they united
a rush of love, lust, and happiness
all were telling me this is a feeling I want to feel continuously

Doug brushes the dust off his notebook with his second book of poetry “The Rebirth of A Lost Poet”. Worldly possessions such as money, cars, houses, and jewelry are fine, but the feeling you get from touching someone’s heart or sharing that bond of true love is priceless and will never go out of style. The Rebirth of A Lost Poet will encourage a person to follow one’s heart in regards to pursuing happiness because life is too short to let something you treasure slip away.
