About the Book

"I'm a Man Who Happens To Be Black" written by Brian Bolden, says it all.  This is one of the most extraordinary books that every man, woman and child of every race must read.  It is guaranteed to change the lives of men, women and children of all races, cultures and environments.

As a race, so many African-Americans are continuing to fall by the wayside by the thousands because of their mentality, thought process and mind-set.  The book addresses the mentality of African-American men who view themselves negatively as black men and nigga's as opposed to those who view themselves positively as men who just happen to be black.

"I'm a Man Who Happens To Be Black" deals with African-American men who continue to struggle with their identity because of their past, lack of knowledge, lack of education, and refusal to expose themselves to diverse cultures and environments.

"I'm a Man Who Happens To Be Black" motivates youth to embrace self-pride, self-respect, and self-determination.  The book encourages youth to "pull up your saggin pants" set goals for the future and stop embracing negative concepts that result in alienation, incarceration and derailment of their success.

"I'm a Man Who Happens To Be Black" empowers youth to reach their dreams, achieve success, and become an integral part of society.

"I'm a Man Who Happens To Be Black" encourages youth to embrace positive mainstream principles as a foundation for success.  The book clearly explains why speaking proper English, being professional, dressing for success and being articulate has nothing to do with betraying their race or acting white.

"I'm a Man Who Happens To Be Black" is a book that is destined to change negative perceptions of African-American males while touching the lives and hearts of millions of people.
