About the Book
He flung her to the shadows and heard her body smack as she hit the wall of the cave then fall to the damp floor. He stood with his foot on her back while he bent to light a torch so he could see her face. He didn't trust being with someone who could cause a King to go mad and kill his own people. What would she try to do to him, now that she knew he meant to kill her? He lit the torch and the wood he had placed there earlier in prepraration for this moment. He then stood up, drew his dagger out of his girdle, turned to cut her throat so she would die quickly, and saw Rebecca. Not a witch, but the girl he had carried home years ago.
