About the Book

While attending college in the Eastern European city of Prague, an American student one day at a pub meets a young lady on vacation, by the name of Anna.  Anna enjoys his company and takes up his offer for him to show her around the city the next day.  They end up spending most of her two week vacation together traveling through Prague’s historic streets, and eventually falling in love.  He comes to learn she has just finished a successful swimming career for her country, holding national records and even making her country’s Olympic team.  After building his trust and evoking his curiosity, she slowly reveals her true intentions of her early retirement at the peak of her game.  Moved by what he hears, he struggles to convey Anna’s story to an American audience in hopes that one day her former swim coach will answer not only for his sexual abuse then, but also the same abuse that is taking place now.
