About the Book

Whilst the Unlonely Planet is a travel book and collectively an autobiography, its purpose is to serve as an inspiration to the reader and for the reader to understand that the opportunity to travel is open to almost anyone if they would only take the initiative. The traveler should never be blinded by politics, religion or their ignorance of other cultures. On the contrary a little time to learn about these first hand, result in a new respect and understanding of the people we have to share our planet with. The Unlonely Planet is a journey that commences in the English Midlands moving down to South America on to the Middle East and the authors travels around the Far East. The book is a motivation for would be travelers while those experienced travelers will almost certainly be able to relate to the various often amusing events that they too will have experienced during their adventures. The book is both humorous and interesting and travelers whether business, tourist or armchair class will enjoy the ease of which world wide travel is portrayed in the Unlonely Planet.     

About the Author

Martin Oliver grew up in the industrial City of Coventry England. He left school at the age of 14 to serve an apprenticeship in a local car factory. At the age of 20 he pursued a career as an engineer on ships in the British Merchant Navy and over a period of 9 years visited countries in all four continents of the world. In his late twenties he left England to live in Brazil where he became involved in the offshore oil industry. The oil industry later took him to the Middle East where he has been living for the past 16 years. He is married with three children.
