Read The Will To Be Totally Fulfilled

Jesus demonstrated in the New Testament that we have been redeemed from the curse of the law, by His life, death, and resurrection.  Jesus became the perfect example of unselfishness.  He walked in love, He walked in forgiveness, and He walked in humility.

This book is about teaching the church that we can receive the inheritance (blessings) that Christ has left us.  Ephesians 1:18 (NLT) reads, I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the wonderful future he has promised to those he called. I want you to realize what a rich and glorious inheritance he has given to his people.

There are instructions to follow and commandments that we must obey.  God demonstrated through the Old Testament that our life will be a blessing or a curse, choose this day who you are going to serve. Deuteronomy 11:26-28 reads, 26 Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse; 27. A blessing if ye obey the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you this day: 28. And a curse, if ye will not obey the commandments of the Lord your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which ye have not known.

I remember when I was a little girl; my mom would constantly say, know the Lord for yourself.  I use to believe, that’s what the preacher is for, he is supposed to teach us how to know God.  I found out later that many preachers weren’t living what they preached. They would bless you one minute and literally curse you the next.

 That’s when I started my journey; I begin to explore what it meant to know the Lord for myself. I discovered in the book of Deuteronomy, that I have a choice to be blessed or cursed.  The process at times didn’t always feel good.  I knew God commanded me to obey him, but out of fulfilling fleshly desires, I suffered the consequences of disobedience.

  I wanted to do my own thing, my own way.   That’s when the curse came, no joy, no peace, and looking for love in all the wrong places.  I set my affections in materialistic things and settled for temporal satisfaction.  I turned to others gods to fulfill my desires, and they were all imposters. I later discovered that I was making a choice that led to a life full of curses.  I was raised in church all my life.

  I got married and started having children.  Even at this point, I had one foot in the church and one foot in the world.  Basically, I went to church on Sunday’s and did whatever I wanted to do during the rest of the week  At one point, I got angry with God trying to be the good mother, good wife…it seemed as if nothing but struggle after struggle came my way, until eventually I stopped going to church.

 I was darting the doors every now and then, like Christmas, Easter, and Mother’s Day.I was playing Russian roulette with my life and the lives that God gave me responsibility for.  One day, our oldest son (then at the age of 7) came into our room and asked, “Mom when are we going back to church?”  I felt as though a knife went straight through my heart.  I felt bad, like I had let my son down.
