Instead of God Bless America, Americans Need To Bless God

About the Book

This book was written to point the unsaved toward Jesus and encourage the saved to bless God with all the talents He has so lovingly given each of us. In this book I included most everything I have written over the year’s, which is Christian articles, poetry, Bible studies, some song lyrics and I tell what my inspiration was in writing the songs. There is a chapter about End Time Prophecy, Visions and many different subjects covered in hope of appealing to every reader. This book is filled with life stories of miracles that God has brought to pass in my life and the lives of family members. God is good and His mercy endures forever to all those that will believe in Him. I hope to encourage everyone that reads this book to reach for the high calling of Christ Jesus. He paid sins debt for each of us, took stripes for our healing and is long suffering. We are the only Bible some will ever read, so we need to let the light of Gods word shine through us so others will want what they see reflected in our walk of faith

About the Author

My name is Janet McMillian and I was born in Greensboro, North Carolina. My family is very precious to me and in growing up there were many family members that shaped my life and kept me on a path of faith in God. My precious mother and Nanny my Grandmother were two of the wonderful gifts God blessed me with in my childhood to shape and encourage me to love the Lord and serve Him with all my heart. They taught me to share the gifts God blessed me with and know that all good things come from God. I have a sister that is about fourteen years younger than me and seems more like my child than my sister. She is one of the most humble people I know and has such a giving spirit. I, as many do, strayed from the Lord in my teenage years, but always was aware that even though I walked away from the Lord and my upbringing, the Lord never walked away from me. He was right there protecting and still providing for me in those rebellious years. I now am blessed with my husband John that is a minister and two beautiful daughters Angela and Billie. I enjoy writing and realistic oil and pastel painting and music. My older daughter Angels also shares my love of painting and has many of her artistic works in galleries and in local government buildings. Billie is my younger daughter and I know has a calling on her life in ministry. God has shown me many miracles through out my life and I share many of these in this book.

I'd like to dedicate this book to my husband John McMillian, my daughter's Angela DeGraff and Billie McMillian, to my mama-Peggy Vernon and to my sister Kathy Nelson and finally to my Grandmother Josephine Arietta Fulk who along with my mother taught me to love Jesus and put my trust in Him. I am truly blessed with a family that show's their love and support daily. I also would like to give the Lord all the glory for this book. With out His Holy Spirit to guide me this book would not have been possible. Praise the Holy name of Jesus.
