About the Book

A Composition of Life is a collection of poetry unfolding life's adventure through the eyes of three generations of women. This collection reveals the challenges of love, friendship, betrayal, racism, depression, forgiveness, repentance, and triumph. Although the writers are from different generations, their struggles are remarkably similar. The authors search the depths of life from their own perspective, and through their journey, discover there is a commom bond that ties them closer than they ever imagined.

About the Author

All three authors reside in Columbus, Ohio. The youngest, Hauna Dawkins, is a high school honor roll student who has been writing poetry and short stories since elementary school.  She is a member of her school cheerleading team and track team. Tomiqua Perry is a young mother with a passion for civil rights and women's issues. She is currently working on her autobiograhpy in which she addresses many challenges she has overcome in her life. She plans to pursue a career in jewelry design and hopes to soon establish her own line. DuBonna Dawkins is married and the mother of four children. She enjoys writing poetry and children's literature. She plans to continue writing and hopes to teach an adult writing class in the future.
