About the Book
Patricia O’Neals heart ending, semi-autobiographical novel I can’t Let Go! Is, in reality, a tribute to the sentiment that falling in love may not always work out for the best. Especially, if you happen to fall for a person who is unfaithful, a liar, an insensitive bore, and a fake. Thus sets the stage for this eloquently told story of one woman fighting to hold on to a marriage for her children against all odds.
The heroine seeks a love she can be sure of. At a young age, however, she falls for a older man, marries him, then discovers his many other sides. Sure, he try to pretend to be loving at times, but that is usually when he want to have sex.
The powerfully authentic nature of the tale also creates the realism and the atmosphere of not knowing what will happen next infuses this book with mystery and intrigue. The suspense is surpassed only by the author’s vivid description and images expressed throughout.
The many twists and turns which take the reader on a roller coaster ride of emotions are supplemented by the fine interplay among main characters. The author has worked her craft to achieve a rich blend of joy and sadness , anger and indifference, subtle innuendo and strikingly stark attacks. The result is a fast paced storyline combined with realistic dialogue and action.
Highly recommended for the author’s storytelling ability and energetic rendering , I Can’t Let Go! Is sure to hold the reader in his or her seat. Patricia O’Neal has written what for many could be reflection of their own lives, and the hope and determination of her heroine is a time-honored guide for all similarly situated.
