About the Book

Inspired by true events, "Heart and Soul of a Man With No Hands" tells a revealing story of Lawrence Kuykendalls journey to find peace with the hand in which life dealt him.  After a horrifying accident, at the age of ten, he must have both hands and arms removed, up to his elbows.  Despite this life altering event, this courageous man excelled and achieved beyond imagination.  He fought each day to turn tragedy into triumph, and make his world an amazing place to be.

Through the pages of this book, we are reminded that everyone must come to grips with the windmill of experiences that are placed before them.  However, it is what we choose to make of those experiences that determines who we become.  We must decide wheather these instances will be opportunities or obstacles.  Will they become our strengths or our weaknesses; the choice is our own....Remembering the life and times of Lawrence P. About the Author

Michelle Kuykendall was born May 8th 1966, in Anadarko Oklahoma.  The family moved to Los Angeles due to her fathers professional baseball career with the Los Angeles Angeles.  She spent her early years in Los Angeles, but the family later returned to Oklahoma, where she spent most of her years growing up in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. 

Although she had been awarded a number of creative writing awards in her early years, this time it became her desire to create something that would inspire.  The story, Heart and Soul of a Man With No Hands was written during a very difficult period in her life.  She began to search deep within to find answers and the strength to turn her tragedies into triumph. What emerged from this period in her life is the realization the LIFE is a beautiful thing, and it is only what YOU choose to make of it....And what better way to explain this realization, then to tell you the amazing story of the life and times of her grandfather , Lawrence P. Kuykendall in her book HEART AND SOUL OF A MAN WITH NO HANDS....
