Lost Key
Who has the key
To live life as happy and peaceful
As we’d like it to be.
You look here and
You look there,
With no success.
You scramble about
Still searching for peace and happiness.
Again, you fail.
Then a child, walks by.
Dirty, cold, hungry and frail,
But all you do is stare
In disgust with no pity.
Or when you pull up to a stop
At the street corner.
You pray the light to change
To avoid that begging vagabond.
Then the day comes
When you find yourself alone.
In need of someone’s kind hand.
And so you realize
That the key was in your reach.
And in desperation the child
You go forth to seek.
And the begging vagabond
You look for in the same corner street.
And again no success.
Someone else has found the
Key to peace and happiness.

About the Book
Poems or rhymes, call them as you will. This is a poetry book that should be read from beginning to end.
You may....smile, laugh, frown, cry or get teary eyed. Or you may flat out disagree. You may even say....Uhmmmm....I can relate to that. Either way I hope you will be touched in a way or another.........
I have written these poems since the age of seventeen up until recently. All different subject matter. Expressing my feelings, and opinion about life and life situations. And for your benefit to understand my writing and what I was feeling at the time, and or about issues that came up, whether in my personal life or around me, And my trying to get my point across, I have given a brief explanation before or after each of my poems. Just remember to keep an open mind ....... and enjoy!
