About the Author

My whole life I always wanted to be original. That's kind of hard to do when so many people are presenting new ideas daily. I never felt so strong about a hobby until I met poetry face to face. I've been writing since I was 14 years old. I'm 35 years old now. When I turned 21 my brother talked me into going to a local night club to recite my work. I received so much love in Macon, GA 1997. From that day forward it has been an energy rush to perform in front of an audience. When the crowd gives you positive feedback you feel good about yourself. You know that this is your work in an art form that people accept. I still looked at it as a hobby. But when I performed one of my most emotional poems this girl told me I changed her life for the better. I inspired her! She had a diary full of poetry. She kept it to herself like held in emotions. Life had her stressed and she needed to relieve that tension. I gave her an escape goat. First she thought she was living on the edge having thoughts of suicide. But after hearing me she started writing to the edge of the paper. The audiences were on the edge of their seats. Never under estimate the power of words. I have a voice and it will be used. Then 11 years ago I decided I wanted to write a book. I want the world to know I am a poet/writer!
